"Don't be indifferent" demonstration

On 9 August 2026, representatives of the Two Hearts Foundation (Fundacja Dwóch Serc) took part in the “Don’t Be Indifferent” demonstration in Warsaw’s Old Town.

Our presence was an expression of our support for the equal treatment of every person in Poland — regardless of nationality, background or where they come from. We firmly believe that creating a society in which everyone can feel safe, respected and accepted is a responsibility we all share.

We refuse to stand by in the face of exclusion, prejudice and discrimination. We want to help build a Poland where diversity is recognised as a strength, and where mutual respect and solidarity are at the heart of everyday life.

Taking part in the demonstration was also a natural continuation of the message voiced during the event: “Kyiv, Warsaw – together for a shared cause”. Our cities, experiences and histories may be different, but we share a responsibility to care for the people who live alongside us. Solidarity cannot end with words — it must be reflected in the choices we make and the actions we take.

Let’s not look the other way. Let’s act. Let’s stand by one another. Let’s work together to build a society that is open, inclusive and welcoming to all. Because a shared cause always begins with another human being.
